Explorations

I would like to write about my interests, my Ph.D. journey, my current research, travels, books and many more things. I will be updating my website with these posts from time to time.

Pottery is one of the oldest skills and art form that we, human beings, have developed over centuries, as evident from the displays in any of the archeological museums around the world. Shaping clay on a spinning wheel has been my latest exploration, which I am planning to purse more dedicatedly.

Reading books is something we all do since the first year of school, however to continue reading (for pleasure) can sometimes become difficult soon after we start our professional life. The same has been case for me. So, writing more regularly about what I read will be an attempt to bring the habit of reading (and then writing) back into my life.

Music, what could be said more about music that people don’t already know. Everyone loves music; who can image a life without music. My introduction to music was a combination of Hindi film aka Bollywood music (which is ubiquitous in north India) and Indian classical music (which came from my parents), and that was when I received my initial training on how to play Tabla. Later during my undergraduate years, my musical interest drifted towards Rock and Heavy metal music, which prompted me to pick up and learn to play a guitar.

More updates coming up soon…
